Hello!  My name is Mona Singh. I'm a family child care professional and owner of Scholars Learning Academy.  I'm very excited to offer my child care services and high quality preschool program and childcare to families in the Frederick area.

 

Prior to opening my own business; I was a Program Director at Global Children’s Center in Montgomery County. I would create and implement curriculum and threshold markers for before and after care employees to execute within fourteen before and after care programs in various MCPS elementary schools I also coordinate with Maryland Excels to continuously evolve and develop the program’s framework. I would enforce compliance standards with MSDE (Maryland State Department of Education) for fourteen before/after care programs. I would interact with staff at various MCPS elementary schools to teach program and evaluate each school’s development

 

Besides my professional experience,  I am also a proud auntie to my cousins 8 children. My family consists of my Mother (Piari Singh), Father ( Jasbir Singh), and sister (Daljit Singh). I was raised in Montgomery County, Maryland. We just recently moved to Frederick County. My hobbies are interior designing, hiking, and dancing! I love to listen and dance to all types of music. I have extensive educational preparation and practical experience in childhood growth and development through Global Children’s Center and personal life.

 

I understand the importance that early childhood education has on future success in school and in life. I am excited to be able to offer a highly individualized play-based preschool program in the Ballenger Creek community and am looking forward to making a positive impact on the preschool-aged, and school age children enrolled in Scholars Learning Academy.
